Activity #2
I decided to use Prezi. My first choice was Vuvox but it has a terrible interface. The image search for google does not work, the youtube video linking device did not work, etc. So, I decided to go with Prezi (the old standby.) Prezi is a great little interface. My only criticism of it are: one it does not allow for easy voice integration, two its framing mechanism is not as intuitive as it could be, and three its path making system is confining in what the path is allowed to look like. I had planned on adding narration to the prezi but it was more time consuming than I would have liked, which is why there is very little information accompanying the images.

Hi Justin,
ReplyDeleteI really like Prezi! I like how you integrated youtube videos into the presentation! I had not thought to do that in the past. Great idea!
Jeremy Squires is a fan of Vuvox so I'll blame him. I wonder if it was less glitchy... arg, sorry.
ReplyDeleteMost impressive. I'm sure if I should admit that I recognize quite a few of the wrestlers, including Andrea the Giant and Hulk Hogan. So much for the content - the presentation was great. I hate you for being done already (I'm writing on July 3).
ReplyDeleteYeah I have not gone to an event in almost a decade. Wrestling is just something you grow up with and even if I don't watch it I do keep up with what is going on online.
ReplyDeleteYeah I don't know about the powerpoint and prezi distinction. I think both are great. I usually let students create the one they feel most comfortable with. With that said, I really am trying to get students to use google presentation, so they are staying within the google family.
