My motivation for tacking the 2013 Summer Camp 2.0 was not a hard decision. I use technology immensely in my courses. I have completely flipped all my courses this last year. 99% of all homework in my courses takes the form of videos and one of my courses is flipped mastery. In addition to this, the coming 2013-14 school year I will be the technology integration (person?--I think that is the name).
In the coming summer I hope I learn more information in regards to district policy and technology initiatives. I am pretty well versed in technology but that does not mean I cannot learn more, specifically in regards to district policies. For instance, the information about students and parental information forms is something I never heard of. Obviously, with that said, I have probably broken a number of district rules already because I have failed to check these forms (mainly because I did not know they existed.)
As I mentioned above, I am very comfortable with technology. Saying this, I am still always at a point where I feel like I am behind. It seems like everyday I learn about some new form of technology and it can be overwhelming at some point. As for technology I have used in my classroom, I have used the following extensively:
Schoology
Google Forms
iPods (I have a class set)
Tumblr
Socrative
Prezi
